Join us Sunday, June 25 - Thursday, June 29th from 6:30-8:30 pm for Vacation Bible School. VBS at Fairmount is for everyone - infants to adults! Come discover your strength in God as we learn valuable lessons from the lives of Bible heroes! Our Theme verse this year is Philippians 4:13: I can do everything through Him who gives me strength. Children can pre-register beginning on Sunday, June 4- Sunday, June 18 at the kiosk in the Worship Center Lobby. You can also register the night you arrive. Please remember that children need to eat dinner before coming to VBS.
Our mission this year is Camp Rudolph. Our donations will help to off-set the costs of replacing the mattresses and renovations in the cabins. To make giving even more fun, we have a competition between boys and girls to see who can bring the most money each night. We end every night with a “pie in the face”. If the girls win an adult male “victim” gets a pie. If the boys win, an adult female “victim” gets the pie!
Preschool children will learn about being a hero through the life of David. They will learn to be brave, praise God, obey, please God, and be kind. Preschool children begin in their assigned classroom and get picked up before the closing program. A typical night for preschoolers includes, lesson time, craft time, music, a visit from the Bible Lady, fun activities to reinforce the lesson, and play time!
Elementary children will learn that God’s heroes have heart, courage, wisdom, hope, and power and how they can be a super hero! Our VBS will begin and end in our new worship center. Children will have a jam-packed night of fun with friends, but more importantly, they will learn biblical truths. A typical night will include rotations through music, crafts, snack, and a lesson. One night will feature a game rotation and mission rotation. There is a “Bring a Friend” contest for elementary students. Whoever brings the most friends earns a super- cool prize on Thursday night!
Everyone has fun at VBS! Invite your friends for this awesome event!
